UPDATE, JUNE 2, 2017: According to a County Live article, although identification has not been confirmed by police in a release this morning, the OPP states that at approximately 6:22 p.m. on June 1, 2017, the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, with the assistance of the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit, Prince Edward County Marine Unit, and the Prince Edward County OPP Crime Unit located the body of a deceased male.
Subsequently, an OPP Communications Twitter post has stated that David is no longer missing. Our deepest condolences go out to David’s family and friends in this time of tragic loss. RIP
PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY — The Prince Edward County OPP is asking for the local public’s assistance in locating missing 24-year-old David Franks out of the Prince Edward County, Ontario, area.
David was last seen on May 23rd, 2017. His last known location is his County Road 28 residence.
David was last seen wearing dark athletic attire, a weighted vest, and dark steel-toe boots.
He is believed to have left his home for a jog, bringing his cell phone and headphones with him.
David is described as:
• GENDER: Male.
• HAIR: Brown, shaggy.
• HEIGHT: 6 feet 3 inches.
• WEIGHT: 204 pounds.
